You’re right where you’re supposed to be

Maybe a loved one has gently — or not so gently —nudged you towards therapy.

Or maybe you've just reached a point where you're ready and willing to change.

It doesn’t matter what brought you to this place;

what matters is that you are here.

Counseling can help you use your resources to get unstuck and start moving forward.

Common Questions About Therapy

  • I work specifically with adults between the ages of 18 to 80+.

I find that my clients who are ready, willing, and able to take responsibility for their own happiness have the most success.

  • I do not work with minors under the age of 18, nor do I work with the following:

    • People with active suicidal ideation or self-harm behaviors,

    • People involved in active domestic violence,

    • People currently involved in a legal or custody case.

  • Therapy feels different for each client.

Some clients may feel the need to come for 8-12 sessions to work on a specific issue, while other clients address more complex issues, which takes longer.

I generally see clients weekly for at least 6-8 weeks so we can get to know each other and start seeing some improvement.

After that, we take some time to assess your progress and adjust accordingly.

  • Therapy can help you in many ways. It can be a space where you learn about yourself, find guidance and support, develop coping strategies to deal with life stressors, and so much more.

  • Item descriptionThe Good Faith Estimate requires health care providers to give clients who don't have insurance or choose not to use insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
